METAMORPHOSE

An Evening of Art and Music Benefitting Adopt The Arts Foundation

Sponsorship Proposal

Executive Summary

Slated for February 29th Leap Year Day 2024, Metamorphose is a one night only Art Show and intimate Performance taking place at Matt Sorum’s newly launched GoodNoise Studios in Palm Springs, featuring a Concert by a world renowned Musical Icon and large format Fine Art Photographic Prints by Award-winning Photographer Mark Maryanovich.

All proceeds from the Metamorphose Print sales are donated directly to Adopt The Arts, advancing their mission to provide art and music classes to K-5th grade students during the school day, raise awareness about the funding for art education across the country, and build partnerships to ensure that all students have a well-rounded education regardless of where they live or go to school.

Mark looks forward to creating an exclusive Series of Fine Art Photographs that embody the core calling of Adopt The Arts: Images created by photographing a variety of accomplished Musical Artists – these traditional Portraits are then interlaced with Images in their inverted form, using the Lenticular process to produce Prints with an illusion of depth, and the ability to change or move from negative to positive as they are viewed from different angles.

The theme of this Series represents the inner workings of talent, a talent that is ideally nurtured as the Artist undergoes metamorphosis into a matured form.

Each Print is a 1 of 1 Limited Edition, hand signed and numbered by Mark Maryanovich on the Print back, and also hand signed by the Musical Artist.

All proceeds from the Metamorphose Print sales are donated directly to ATA, a tax-exempt public charity under section 501 (c) (3). The Adopt The Arts Foundation is able to impact the lives of thousands of children due to the generosity of their supporters.

In addition to raising funds to further ATA’s commitment to providing young minds with creative outlets, the purpose of this Event is to help raise awareness for Adopt The Arts by leaps and bounds during the Show’s pre-launch, launch and post launch phases, through a combined marketing plan involving traditional print, social media, local radio and television features.

Team Description

Adopt The Arts Foundation Co-Founder, Co-Executive Director Matt Sorum

Matt was born in Long Beach, California in the rock n' roll heyday of the 1960s. After watching the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan show he became entranced by Ringo Starr and knew from an early age that he wanted to be a drummer. The Beatles opened the door to Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and the Doors. At 14-years-old Matt was wailing with his band The Prophecy alongside the likes of Van Halen and Devo at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go and Crazy Horse West. Over the next few years, Sorum honed his chops in numerous session gigs with artists such as Shaun Cassidy, Belinda Carlisle, and King Solomon Burke, solidifying his reputation as a go-to studio drummer. Matt then joined the Cult, touring with Metallica and Aerosmith. In the summer of 1990 Duff McKagan and Slash of Guns n' Roses caught the tour-ending gig of that tour and were blown away by Sorum, inviting him to join Gn'R. After ten years with the band Matt turned his talents to behind the board, working with numerous artists and writing six movie soundtracks under the banner of Orange Curtain Records. Upon finishing a two year run with the Cult, Sorum, McKagan and Slash founded Velvet Revolver with Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots.

A Grammy Award winning musician and Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Sorum has made an everlasting impact on the world of music. Sorum continues to produce, make music, and tour with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top and other musicians. Matt now devotes considerable time and energy to his philanthropic interests, and is
especially dedicated to fulfilling his role as Co-founder and Co-Executive Director of Adopt the Arts.

Mission Statement

Adopt The Arts Foundation

Adopt the Arts launched in the spring of 2012, just as the school board was about to eliminate the entire budget for arts education in all of its 335 elementary schools. Although partial funding was maintained and art continues to be funded in various ways, the vast majority of LAUSD elementary school students are not receiving music or art at school. It is the mission of Adopt the Arts to provide music and art classes to all students, regardless of where they live or go to school. We are building a movement, one school at a time, by bringing together artists, musicians, donors, public officials, businesses, entrepreneurs and creatives from around the country.

Metamorphose

The Metamorphose Team Members have combined forces to create an unforgettable, customized, one of a kind Event experience to help raise awareness and support for Adopt The Arts Foundation.

While raising funds for Adopt The Arts through the 1 of 1 Limited Edition hand-signed and numbered Fine Art Photographic Lenticular Prints sales provides the basis for this initiative, all involved firmly believe that creating an extraordinary Event that leaves a positive indelible mark on our attendees will provide the most benefit for both our Sponsors and ATA, long after the one night only Show has come to pass.

Social media posts are an important part of all event promotions, however, the Metamorphose Team clearly recognizes that compelling content of these posts is of utmost importance. Our Team realizes that the success of our Event is ultimately about the guest experience. How guests feel, what they will remember about the night, and moving them emotionally are the key elements around which our Event is designed.

Therefore, our focus is on creating an exceptional experience for our Show guests. The most valuable guest experience is a curated experience, one in which Guests feel valued and important. The intimate Performance provides the basis for this unforgettable experience, and this in turn creates a win for all involved, as the Event will live in our Guests’ minds for many years to come.

As they remember and share how much they enjoyed the evening and how valued they felt, these thoughts and posts will be inextricably linked with Adopt The Arts and our Show’s Sponsors.

Stories from students who have benefitted from ATA’s compelling mission to provide young minds with creative outlets because of their belief that the arts inform us of our collective humanity and help us to communicate and express ourselves with clarity and dignity, is certainly enough to move our audience emotionally.

Creating a remarkable Event to showcase Adopt The Arts, to raise more awareness and ultimately more support to provide even more music and art classes to all students, regardless of where they live or go to school, is Metamorphose’s sole purpose for being.

Our Team is committed to superlative communication with our Sponsors throughout every stage, and excellent execution of a world class Event.
